What is Bowenwork®?
Bowenwork® is a holistic and gentle soft tissue therapy that promotes deep relaxation, helping the body to balance and heal itself.
Bowenwork addresses the body as a whole, not just presenting symptoms,
and can be performed on people of all ages, from babies to the elderly. Bowen moves are small and gently rolling, using light pressure over specific points on muscles, tendons, nerve bundles and energetic acupoints. These moves produce incredible results and impact not only the musculoskeletal framework, but also the nervous system and internal organs.
For over 50 years, the Bowen technique has helped thousands of people with a wide range of conditions which include:

The Bowen technique was developed in the late 1950’s by the late Tom Bowen of Australia who practiced until his death in 1982. He had a deep understanding of the body’s energetic and structural interconnectedness, and he achieved remarkable results. By the 1970’s Bowen was treating 13,000 people a year with a documented success rate of over 85%. In his later years, Bowen allowed several practitioners to observe him while he worked. After his death, the technique began to be taught and today over 26,000 practitioners in over 25 countries have been trained in this work including doctors, nurses, physical therapists and massage therapists.
