Scenic for sure! On right, can walk up hill to Rose Bowl. You come across a little stream and then you find yourself with the running trail that is used for the Pasadena Running marathons. We parked by the Kidspace Children museum, a bit lot with free parking and walked south on Arroyo. not very congested at this time of day, plenty of parking, and benches throughout one half of the loop. Easy and flat trail. Playlist for the trail: https://sptfy.com/Kh8Came here for the first time a few months ago and really enjoyed the walk under the bridges and was very simple. Not a lot of sigh seeing with this trail, but it’s a nice stroll as long as it’s not too hot!nice and quiet and flat. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and running. After we returned back we decided to keep walking North on Arroyo where we saw a lot more people. Try walking down towards south next time.Nice easy trail. You can walked next to the Rose Bowl, turn on Washington and go back, that completes a whole 8 miles.Parking lot. Great for a Family with kids or runners.A great trail especially locals because of the natural trails, environment, and you can accomplish three miles in the morning without traffic, people and misc. There are some parking space in the Low arroyo seco Park. Lower Arroyo Seco Trail is a 4.8 kilometer heavily trafficked loop trail located near Pasadena, California and is good for all skill levels. my girlfriend and I came in the early mornjng with heavy packs to train for backpacking. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/lower-arroyo-seco-trail
Will continue to come back here!Turn off your ad blocker to see a map of this trail For me, it was hard to find. As you travel back there is an archery range trail that can be taken, which adds a bit more of the natural vibe to the trail. It starts to open once you get to the archery range.
also had fam with us. Pretty flat most of the way.
There are several bridges to pass under, constructed with a cool old style.
I couldn’t find the trail either but thankfully another review said to go to Norwood and arroyo..very pretty and quick jogEasy trail, no slope. Many access points along the trail and lightly trafficked. There is a parking lot with plenty of parking and you can pick up the trail from there. It’s easy, easy to get to, and reasonably flat for beginners. It doesn’t take long to complete and looks great for runners! Your basically walking along a dirt path next to the river. I definitely recommend this trail.
It’s a nice trail and can go all the way to Rose bowl. This is it.A very straightforward trail. There is a little dam and refuge for ducks just beyond the bridge. not too much scenery but you can get a little more on some of little branches.this is an easy trail though not well marked if you extend the hike past the south or into Rosebowl area. Beautiful and very Pasadena.Nice walk through the woods but not challenging. (wenzday)A nice easy walk/hike along a wash and under the historic Arroyo Seco Bridge.Walk was pretty, lots of trees and the bridges are beautiful. The trail stops in the dry Creek bed which you can cross in Summer months. Moderately trafficked with dogs on and off leash. Watch out for horse droppings. From where the trail starts on the map it takes awhile to get interesting. You will see some sort of adventure camp climbing poles. Having lived in the area for my whole life and playing golf at the golf course just south of the trailhead, I’d never explored this portion of the arroyo. Hope you enjoy! The trail starts at the San Pasqual Stables and loops around at the colorado street bridge and 134 highway in Pasadena.
It seems like there are a lot of entrances to this Lower Arroyo Seco trail but I went through the Lower Arroyo Seco entrance that is on S. Arroyo Blvd. Some nice shady spots on the way. It parallels to the Arroyo Seco Parkway also in the canyon. Cold in the afternoon.Nice and easy flat trail. I wish there were more signs that had information. We walked all the way to the Rose Bowl, 4.7 miles.Virtual Hike: https://youtu.be/L2FjhaqYPdo
Walking along the water was pretty boring so walk along the dirt path for more scenery! Not sure if I completed the whole trail though, I think from where I started it wasn’t the whole thing. it goes through an archery rangeBeautiful trail.
