The kit has been running that voltage for 10 months now with no signs of degradation, I think I could run 1.55v safe daily, but there is no point to it on my R7 3700x.If only using 4 cores, 3900X can destroy your 6700k in any gaming/workload. Go find out what innovation truly is. Problem is, i7 9700k is an 8c/8T CPU while 3900x is a 12c/24T CPU. Also for CPU streaming/rendering it's a extreme upgrade.i can easily have 5 videos open now and game at the same time, ive never had my second monitor watching a stream, youtube video or whatever else, peg my cpu as high as you claim. While the 9700k has 8 threads, the 3700X has 16 – just as with the more expensive 9900k.

I did a direct comparison between the 6700k and the 3700x on both a radeon VII and 2080 ti.I'm making the jump exactly from a 6700k to a 3950x once it's in stock. If you don't have budget issues, go for it, just avoid MSI MPG Gaming Wifi X570 mobo.6700k is still a very powerful cpu tho, my wife is really enjoying it :)Went from a 4.8 GHz 7700K and 4x8 GB of 3200 MT/s CL14 memory to a stock 3900X with the same memory OCed further to 3600 MT/s 16-17-17-36.
I finally said, let me try team red CPUs and I couldn't be happier. The 3900X makes sense if you do actual work that benefits from the extra threads.
