The canyon was nice and cool during the daytime and once you’re inside the canyon you do not have to worry about sunburns. It is not a good idea to tie powerboat or personal-watercraft lines to houseboat-anchor lines, as they can cause the anchor lines to come loose. If you do happen to hit some soft sand just hammer down on the gas pedal and slowly turn the steering wheel back and forth to make it through. The lookout point sits 1,000 vertical feet above the Colorado River and is approximately ¾ of a mile from the parking area. Be prepared to cover your nose and mouth if you’re near others.Practicing social distancing and avoid congregations of 10 or more people. Quiet time 10 pm-6 am. Leave the flowers, rocks and everything else for others to enjoy.There is no camping fee or permit required to camp on the lake in undeveloped areas.
