The Berkeley Camp eating area used to over look the rapid and paddlers were typically cheered on as they would run down through the boulder laden drops. The Goat Creek section had definitely set a high bar for scenery and fun rapids on this trip, and we were hungry for more.
Take out on river right somewhere where you are allowed to park along Hardin Flat Road. There are also some rocks in the bottom of the drop. Gradually the river mellowed out as we approached the take-out campground Conor Kelly, with another perfect boof on the South Fork.. We arrived at the Poverty Flat take-out campground with big smiles on our faces.
