Well written, but you have to believe. I thought it would be about her gaining confidence to make her art the way she wanted to make it, and to take it seriously, and not care if the serious art world applauded her or not! There is something for everyone, got to get out your head. I liked the magic, and the tossing around of glitter, and it wasn't terrible, but I was annoyed at the movie for the following reasons:I don't get why so many other people's comments here are bagging out Kitt's behaviours and saying she must have been screwed up as a kid and she must have a mental illness. Side note and fun experiment: Cover her right side.
Okay movie I guess, decent acting, quirky, nothing memorable though.Don’t waste your time.
That was great, sort of. I will always appreciate someone doing something original, even if it doesn't land as well as well as i could. The start was rushed, very disjointed and skippable since they return to the story beats of KITT failing at art school when it's needed for exposition, and the comparisons the parents make between her and the other kid as felt instead of told like at the start.Anyone know how I could make or where I could find the invitation kit receives to go to the unicorn store? This movie was like a live action version of a 90s kid's cartoon. But it didn't. Then I really liked when her father was telling her about the teenagers who had more serious problems than she did. Weird, but fun.
Like her vacuum ideas!
Kit is a failed artist who moves back in with her parents and takes a job up as an office worker. Worth a watch if you’re in the right mood. This movie wasn’t amazing, but it helped me escape a bit during a stressful time and kind of put things into perspective.Agreed. And the scenes building the stable were cute.Had to see Unicorn Store after Captain Marvel, enjoyed it so much.Brie Larson is such an interesting actress and is stunning in such an offbeat way that this was a joy to watch. How much therapy should I get?
That was the strong point of this movie. As someone's first movie, it's stylish and out there and bold. This movie was really good. Cover the left side. Good for her.Quirky girl does quirky things for 2 hoursAny other personal reviews? I wanted her to start making a bunch of rainbow glitter paintings and to turn her unicorn stable into a piece of artwork that reflected her style! Definitely liked how they had a dark-skin male lead (besides Mr. Jackson) who wasn’t the stereotypical good looking guy.Fantastic, huge fan of both actors (btw, both are on Captain Marvel).I really enjoyed the performances from the supporting characters.I'd give my opinion, but of course Brie's movies aren't for white men to have opinions on. But...disappointingly, she didn't pursue that. 7/10.I thought maybe it was because today was just a low-key shitty day, I'm sick and adulting has sucked giant black magic troll balls for a while now but damn.I think a lot of that along with whether you are on-board with Kit’s journey to get a unicorn correlates to how much enjoyment you get from it.
Not a bad 90 minutes when you run out of things to watch.I didn't know this was based on a book and yet it felt like it. Someone else made her unicorn stable, and her not being appreciated still brought her down. I needed to hear that. The movie felt like a lovely dream without being trite.Oh. It's shortly after 16:57 in when he's talking about how his parents didn't pay for figure skating lessons.I know this movie isn't very popular. I think I get it.
